In all of the years that have passed, he's never had the chance to properly grieve, or process what happened to them. He barely remembers the incident itself right now, but it will come back to him slowly over time, in bits and pieces...
But the boy, he'd never forget.
The body he brings out is covered by a sheet and wrapped up enough that Vash won't have to see who he's carrying, the passage of time strange enough that the body is still intact enough to be buried. If Adrian could actually set foot outside of the Lighthouse, he would do it himself, but this is where he has to trust a near perfect stranger with the only thing that ever mattered.
So he'll watch in silence from the doorway, making sure to stay uncovered from the rain so it never once stops falling on him, keeping him coherent and in the moment.]
