Mm... well, normally if you had preexisting magic, the moon shard would act as a catalyst, allowing you to use moon magic and strengthening your own. Or I could grant you magic- one of several schools- with a star shard, and... then the moon shard would do the same.

But without magic in you, I'm not... entirely sure.
