Can't say any of that sounds familiar. The Search Party I know... everyone works together, no one's soulless or dying or anything like that. Raven's arm gives him problems sometimes, but it's mostly under control... [mmmmostly. that's probably the only one of their group that's not doing Fine, honestly, but both him and Eve are pretty attentive to the issue.]
... but everyone in your world is still travelling together, right? So, even if some things might have gone wrong, or people left for awhile and came back... they've still got a leader they all think is worth following around. That counts for something.
