Once Gnosis shows the Shopkeeper where he wants the expansion, he steps back outside and draws a rune on the side of the wall, takes about twenty steps back, and... oh! There's a new part of the building now.


He then gets to work delivering each piece of furniture, insisting he do it himself since he's not bothered by the cold or recovering from broken legs.
